The Ultimate Guide for Indian Dog Naming
Let’s be honest naming your dog is an overwhelming yet fun task. It feels so wonderful to bring home a new puppy and right after looking at him you wonder what you might call him? All these different names start popping in your head & you lose your ability to choose one. Don’t worry I have got you covered. I’m sure after reading this ultimate guide in naming your dog, you’ll be able to come up with one & for your help I have put down a list of my favorite Indian dog names.
3 Easy Steps to Name your Dog
These are quite easy steps to follow, they will help you with the process of shortlisting and ultimately choosing the perfect name. The steps should be followed in the same order.
1. Analyse the Personality or Characteristics of your Dog
In my opinion, the first thing you should do is to observe your dog properly. What is his breed, what is the color of his fur & how long will it grow? Is he furry like a Shih Tzu or has less hair like a Labrador? Watch him and learn about his personality, if he is a playful & cheerful personality or shy and timid one. The name should match his personality. You could even make it funnier by naming him quite the opposite of who he really is. Like, if he is fat instead of naming him “Motu”, you could call him “Patlu”.
2. Make a List of Names
The second thing you should do is making a list of all the names coming to your head. Take suggestions of friends & family into consideration and list-down them either digitally or in a notebook or in your head. The task of making a list is a fun process, you can include all sorts of funny, cute & unique ideas coming to your head. This process is where the creativity lies, make sure to take advantage of your creative skills.
3. Selecting the Perfect Name
Now, let’s come to the most important part of this process, which is choosing a single name from that list. The key element which would help you do that is, by calling your dog out from the different names which you shortlisted. Check for that one name which makes you feel like yeaah, this is the one!
The objective of the whole process is finding that perfect name which makes you happy calling out and seeing your puppy running through the house in his tiny paws to come to you. That is the happiest feeling of all.
All these efforts are so worth it when you find that name which fits perfectly.
